Soothes the Soul: an EFT tapping circle

Where: Online via Zoom

When: This 60-minute drop-in group occurs the 2nd Monday afternoon each month

Monday, April 13th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM, EDT

Monday, May 11th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM, EDT

Monday, June 8th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM, EDT

Let’s soothe our souls together.

Some simple grounding movements, then gentle tapping on several acupoints are combined with guided meditation to calm the nervous system.

Our focus April 13th will be:

What if we can feel more relaxed and more delighted?

Who: Adults ~ Beginners and seasoned EFT Tappers are welcome to tap along.

What: Using EFT Tapping, we tap gently on several acupressure points on our heads and upper bodies. It is an easy and scientifically validated method that reduces anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other stressors. It regulates the nervous system.

*Themes: We tap on themes that affect us in our everyday lives. For example, reactions to stress, challenges at work, self-care practices, physical pain, relationships with family. Also, tapping on future events to ease anxiety.

*EFT Tapping, in its basic form, is easy to practice. We use it throughout the “Soothes the Soul” group. Participants come away with a simple yet powerful self-care tool to support them.

*Borrowing Benefits: is a term used for a phenomenon that occurs in EFT tapping groups. Studies have shown group participants experience a significant reduction in stress, even if the situation focused on while tapping is not occurring in their own lives. An example of Borrowing Benefits would be noticing less pain in a knee by the end of a Tapping Circle, although the focus of the tapping was on lowering stress from an argument another group member shared.

*Self-Compassion: Cultivating self-compassion is a key ingredient in every Soothes the Soul tapping circle.

*Results: Participants often report feeling calmer, happier, more joyful, and experiencing more focus of mind.

Agreements: It is important for our tapping circle to be a safe space emotionally. To this end, we ask all participants each time to agree to specific compassionate ground rules on intention and behavior.

When: This 90-minute drop-in group occurs the 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, Eastern / 7:00 AM– 8:30 AM, Pacific

Who: Women!

What: Are there ever pesky tasks seeming to loom over you? Such as a chore, a project, a phone call, organizing a closet, or paperwork? Or, maybe it's something self-nurturing or creative that you don't schedule for yourself often.

Tasking & Tapping brings us into a community experience of making progress on our tasks.

No prior experience with EFT Tapping required.

We begin and end our time together engaging in EFT Tapping that soothes our souls. There are 40 minutes in the middle when you can do whatever task you feel guided to do. It might be something difficult for you to motivate yourself to do.

Examples include: balancing a checkbook, paying a bill, some cleaning in the kitchen, ordering groceries online, drafting ideas you might have toward a project, taking a next step on a project you have already begun - whether you last engaged with it days or years ago.

Maybe it's a self-care, inner child, or creative endeavor you want to do: sketching, sculpting, dancing, nature walk, bubble bath, or whatever brings light to your heart.

I will be in front of my screen during the 40 minutes, available if you have a question. We will all come together again at the end of the 40-minute Tasking time.

Next, there is a Share Circle for any wishing to give a brief description of their Tasking time. Then, we have a Wrap-up time, using EFT Tapping to anchor in accomplishment and momentum.

It is delightful to witness what is shared after the various experiences. I'd love for you to check it out.

Agreements: It is important for our tapping circle to be a safe space emotionally. To this end, we ask all participants each time to agree to specific compassionate ground rules on intention and behavior.
